The Material
Two species. One supply chain.
Both outperform what the big-box stocks. Both arrive kiln-dried from the same Costa Rican producer. Both enter the U.S. at 0% duty under CAFTA-DR.
Line I
Plantation Teak
Tectona grandis
1,155 lbf Janka hardness. Built-in Tectoquinone — a naphthoquinone compound that acts as a natural preservative against rot, insects, and moisture. Zero chemical treatment required. Decades of proven outdoor performance.
Cypressine sesquiterpene oil — a natural preservative and aromatic compound with proven USDA Class 2–3 decay resistance. Dimensionally stable, workable, and free of the chemical treatments that pressure-treated alternatives require.
We sell wholesale to contractors, fence installers, landscapers, millwork shops, and architects. If you're pulling more than a bundle, you're our customer. Net-30 for qualified accounts.
02
0% import duty, built into the price.
Costa Rica teak and cypress enter under CAFTA-DR at zero tariff (HTS 4407). That savings is already in the landed price — not captured by us. It's how we move premium hardwood at contractor-viable pricing.
03
Plantation-grown. Documented, every shipment.
Every board comes from plantation growers in Costa Rica — not old-growth or clear-cut tropical. Certificate of Origin and phytosanitary documentation ship with every container. The paperwork is clean.
The Supply Chain
From plantation to your job site.
No ambiguity about where this wood comes from or how it moves.
01
The plantation
Teak and cypress grown on plantation lands in southern Costa Rica. Multi-age stands, selectively harvested. Not old-growth. Not clear-cut.
02
The mill and kiln
Dimensioned and kiln-dried on-site by our Costa Rican supplier — a vertically integrated producer with decades of export history. Product is cut to final profile before containerization.
03
Container and documentation
CAFTA-DR Certificate of Origin. Phytosanitary certification. ISPM-15 treatment for all wooden packaging. Clean paperwork, every time.
04
U.S. entry via Houston
Containerized shipment clears customs at the Port of Houston. 0% duty under CAFTA-DR. Forwarded direct to your destination — we don't take physical custody en route.
05
Delivery to contractor
Door-to-door to your job site or yard across Iowa, Nebraska, Kansas, Minnesota, Missouri, Wisconsin, and Colorado. We coordinate logistics — you receive material.

Applications
Where it goes.
Teak and cypress cover the full range of exterior and interior applications where treatment-free performance and visual quality both matter.
Fencing
Horizontal Privacy Fence
Residential and commercial privacy screens. Pool surrounds. Urban rooftop dividers. Teak's natural oils eliminate the need for any annual treatment.
TeakFencing
Volume Fencing & Pickets
High-lineal-footage jobs where cedar was the spec. Cypress at comparable installed cost with superior decay resistance and no chemical treatment requirement.
CypressInteriors
Sauna & Spa Interiors
Teak's heat and moisture resistance make it the traditional choice for sauna walls, benches, and floors. Requires no finish in high-humidity environments.
TeakInteriors
Closets & Wardrobes
Cypress aroma (cypressine, alpha-pinene) acts as a natural moth deterrent in enclosed spaces. Dimensionally stable, easy to work, and aromatic for years.
CypressArchitectural
Gate & Entry Panels
Driveway gates, courtyard entries, architectural screens. Teak's stability means no warping, no seasonal movement, and a patina that improves with age.
TeakExterior
Above-Grade Cladding
Pergola framing, porch ceilings, siding accents. Cypress performs well above grade in most climates. Specify proper flashing and drainage — not for ground contact.
